90-day review of Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller
hi I'm Tiffany with mom can try and I'm David with frugal marathoner and we're here today with our son our cross-country runner and iron baby and we're just getting ready to go out for a track workout at our local track and right after that I'm going to wrap it up with a 90-day review of the Baby Trend expedition jogging stroller let you know what I think about it [Music] I've been walking through the all right we did it got a run in right even in the rain so we'll pick up this preview probably after we clean up [Music] [Music] [Music] run back over here in another park we're gonna talk about our review on the Baby Trend expedition jogging stroller so we've been using this now for about three solid months of training and running and given that our experience with time spent with it the babies experience with it I would wholeheartedly recommend this jogging stroller the biggest pro for this is the fact that it is so affordable I didn't want to spend $100 on a new stroller I especially didn't want to spend more than $100 on a used jogging stroller so the fact that I got a new quality jogging stroller for under $100 is great the other thing that we really like about this jogging stroller is the fact that it has the adjustable sunshade like this so on days like today where the Sun is gonna be in the cooked by the other thing we like like multiple cupholders so he's got a couple of cup holders down here and then we've got a couple up here so that just makes it really nice for especially when he's gonna be transitioning to a sippy cup and you can have that when we're on a run the other thing that I like is we have some storage departments up here so we've got different folders along with the storage compartments that's big enough to hold it super convenient the other thing we have a storage compartment on the bottom of the stroller which it's been biggest when we've been using it so this has been really nice the other thing is that it's lightweight and it's easy to maneuver so of course I don't have any experience with other jogging strollers to know that anything but if this doesn't feel like it's super bulky or cumbersome when we're running so there's just been a really positive experience for us the only thing that I like about it it does have a five-point harness for the baby so it keeps him nice and secure and safe I do have to point out that I don't think that I would use this with a young baby without having them in the attachable car seat until they're about six months or older they have that scent control he was about six months old when he started using it and I think that was about the perfect perfect size and perfect age for him there's really only a couple cons that I have for this and David looks great with me on this one but it's super bulky so when you're traveling and you want to fit this in a car with four kids and it's not very compact and so we have actually found a way around that where we actually take the tray off the other cotton - this is probably gonna be with any double stroller the bags but my forum is really compromised I don't know about you but it just seems like I'm running at a different firm and I'm using different muscles when I'm pushing the jogging strollers running without it and that took some getting used to I actually took this on my first judge ever about five days before my first half marathon of the year and that was gonna stink but other ways that you have to say aside from the cons the pros certainly outwit are you've been so happy with this jogging stroller giving us a lot of extra training time this summer that I don't think that we would have had if we didn't have this previously we would switch runs awesome on solo run so he would run and then I would run and so this way we're able to run together and this makes our training time a little bit more efficiently I always swore that I would never get one of these because I decided that running with my new frame but I would rather have my run and they're no run at all all right scene change and a break for baby so one of the other pros that we really like is the ability to either allow the wheel to be free running so that turns are easier or you can lock it straight so that if you're in a straight line you can go with it straight we prefer just allow the wheel to free run it seems to have no problems with high-speed pace I run it about seven minute pace just under seven minute pace with the stroller and had no problems with the wheel never had any wobble issues or anything with the wheel the other thing that we love about it is the ability to lay him down so if he's if you sleepy and he's ready for a nap the unit actually lays back down or you can tilt it up so that he can see so having adjustment for that is great to be able to get him in a good angle for whatever he needs that these ready for a nap I do like the fact that it has a safety strap that attaches to your wrist that way it's not going to trip hasn't happened yet but I'm a question anything can happen but it does attach your wrist so that is saying earlier the the biggest probe that this stroller was the fact that the cost was just right on point for what we wanted to spend it retails anywhere from about a hundred and ten to a hundred and twenty dollars before discounts or sales with this particular model I actually got it on sale it was on sale for $90 and then targets had their car seat trade-in event which they have twice a years and the second one for this year is actually coming up and so if this is something that interests you I would highly highly recommend that you trade in a kind of speech you get a 20% off coupon to use towards another stroller or car seat and that's why I was able to get this particular stroller for 72 dollars I couldn't even I could barely even touch a used stroller for that price definitely keep an eye out for that hopefully you can find a good deal on it just like I did just click on the links down below we've got affiliate links for both Amazon and for Target that you can get these thank you for watching my review today I hope that this helps you make a decision on the stroller that you want to have for your base click Subscribe and like down below just make sure that you don't miss any of our future reviews and
Baby trend expedition jogging stroller review
how's everyone doing doing a quick review here on the baby trend Josh has a stroller for about two years now my son Mason is - just turned two like two months ago so we've had this since he's been a baby it came with a actual car seat as well so it grew with him it used to hold the Carson on top but now he actually sits in the actual seat itself I'll give you a few little tidbits about this when you're running it has this this front wheel here locks into place with this switch here and when it locks into place it makes it so it doesn't wobble when it's when you're running if you don't have it locked in place the actual whole thing will start shaking so make sure you lock it in place when you're before you start running well it does make it when it's locked in place it makes it a little harder to turn you actually have to like maneuver it to turn but it makes it so it doesn't shake another did another downfall for the stroller is that the wheels ever since I've had them I've been not able to keep air in them we've pumped it up maybe 20 times and sort of just gave up on actually trying to keep you keep them with air in them but they've run pretty good without air just more of like to whatever the baseline areas without pumping up we're solid but overall you know it's been pretty good has this nice little vent here allow some air flow store your keys or your garage door opener inside of there how you drink cupholders nice storage at the bottom also has this little sort of like safety belt when you're running you put it around your wrist and if you fall trip on the stroller won't keep going so Bree what do you like about it like running and we're going to the Sun well I know what you're like when you push the bike some strollers we try when you push the stroller they roll this one doesn't have a long roll to it so you're actually using your force to actually pushing the stroller amazing how do you like to throw up yeah yeah we just got finished running so just a little quick review overall we like it you know it's only won't be as good as some of your costly alternatives but it definitely did a job for what we need special system went from a baby carrier to a tot look area but hopefully you enjoy the review and hopefully this helps your purchase
Baby Trend Expedition ELX Jogging Stroller Review
Wow bony hands in today's video I'll be reviewing the Baby Trend expedition XLT jogging stroller this stroller retails in the US for approximately two hundred dollars plus this particular version that we purchased actually came with a baby carrier that attaches to the stroller but we will not be including that in this review this stroller is awesome if you are a jogger or you walk a lot outside if you are in small spaces not so much so there are a lot of features since this is a jogging stroller there's actually a feature where you can lock this will at the very front into a jogging position and it locks it directly in place so that it goes straight ahead now the only way to turn whenever this is locked into place is to pull back and then turn all you have to do is push this button and this will will turn this tray has two cupholders for the child so you can have you know juice and a milk if you like it's real easy to release by pushing that button it has a little place where if something drops off of here it'll get caught in this little tray here down on the bottom it also provides a place for your child to put their feet this feature also includes this canopy that folds out and it locks into place and so that if it's bright and the sun is shining down it covers up any kind of Sun that may be coming in and if you want to know who you know how your child is doing it also provides this little thing right here it's this little mesh top so you can lift that up and you can see what's going on with your child inside there the thing that I don't like about this it doesn't provide a place to lock it up there so if the winds blowing it'll just kind of flap around a little bit another feature that this thing provides I think is really cool is this speaker system these are two speakers right here on the front you lift this little thing up here and there's a little place for you to plug your phone in now quite honestly this is not that great doesn't work that well it's not very loud putting headphones in maybe even better as you can see this handle to push the stroller goes in a couple of positions it goes into a higher position and it goes into a lower position and I think it has two positions there three positions actually so three different positions that you can lock this handle in which i think is really cool it gives two places for you to put your own drink and so you have a total of four cup holders in this entire stroller one or two right here for the adults and then two down here for your child another feature that this offers is this huge basket down on the bottom this basket provides a lot of room really you can put any kind of diapers or powder or just whatever you need like we go to the pool a lot we put our towels and we put our sunscreen and things like that down in there so it actually provides a lot of storage space also on the back side here you will notice his strap now this strap they say is to be used if you are jogging for me to put this around my wrist in to jog I mean I guess it works just fine not that big of a deal because really you're not supposed to go any farther than this you're not suppose to be jogging with one hand so if you have both hands on this and you're jogging you're jogging long and you trip like this then what will happen is that'll roll out and your hand will catch the stroller and it won't roll out into the middle of the street so that is a good thing about this strap we rarely use it quite honestly there are a couple of little pieces of velcro that you can use you just put here and you can strap it to the side for storage sake now this thing also has brakes on the back on for each wheel this will keep either wheel from rolling so if you Glock those into place you'll notice this thing will not move if I open that brake and you'll see the wheel will turn but otherwise if I put that brake in the wheels not going to turn at all so I think that that's a really good feature and almost a feature that should be on every strollers I'm not really sure this is the only stroller that we've ever owned okay there are a few things I dislike about this stroller one being is that all of these tires have to be aired up so at some point they're gonna go flat and you'll have to air these tires up now I guess it's a good thing if you're jogging that way it's a lot softer on the child whenever you hit a bump or something like that but it is kind of a pain to have to air them up the other thing is this thing is bulky it really doesn't fit into a car very well even into it this virtually takes up the entire space you know if you have a big vehicle it's not that big of a deal folding this up is kind of difficult so there's a little button here on the back you have to slide this little switch pull this button all the way in and then lift up and really you have to kind of squeeze it together and that's how we do it we squeeze this thing together and pull this thing down and it's locked in position and that is about as small as this thing gets and then you have to worry about this thing right here whenever you're opening this thing up what you have to do is pull this handle back out and then grab this switch pull on this and whenever you start to open this thing up it always catches this little knob on the side there and so as you see it's not always easy and this little strap oftentimes comes off of here I'd like you to see that there are some harness straps in here that you can strap your kid in not much of a problem there I think most cars or strollers have that on the back side there are these little levers that can help the child sit up a little better and you know what this particular stroller actually came with a baby carrier and it actually fits this section right here I don't have this in place at the moment I might make another video in the future showing the baby carrier but for now we're not going to show that this little thing right here actually cinches back and allows the seat to fold back so that your child can lay back farther if they want what I would like and what I actually wish is that this stroller allowed the child to sit up taller like this but it actually does not allow for child to do that the tallest that a child can set up is like this and they're still leaning back it provides reflectors on the side so if you're jogging at night that cars can see you a little bit better I still suggest wearing something reflective or something bright we're just don't at night you know that is the Baby Trend expedition XLT jogging stroller very cool stroller if you're into jogging and walking a lot if you're not into jogging or walking a lot I would probably recommend a different type of stroller maybe one that's more compact with hard wheels rather than soft wheels and what I would do in the future perhaps is to get a secondary stroller a smaller stroller so that I could take it out into public places like restaurants or a mall or somewhere to that effect so that I didn't have to lug this huge thing around everywhere I went wow this is great it is not the best and it all depends on what you're gonna use it for if you have any suggestions on what kind of stroller that somebody might be interested in please let me know in the comments below thank you so much for watching don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell so you don't miss any future videos that's what Melvin would say there's nothing like just doing it getting it done [Music]
Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller
morning everybody slightly windy demo of the Baby Trend and jogging stroller we have had this stroller since my daughter was born she's almost exactly it is a fantastic stroller for features for your child you've got the gigantic Sun screen which I love because it pivots the whole entire thing will pivot so it doesn't have to remain attached back here your child is asleep for example you can pull it way forward and then you can see them this way it also has this and can cinch up on this side or if you don't need it at all there is a shoulder harness that is a safety feature it's gonna close you up get in with your snacks so to release them from holders up here standard clip here big storage down underneath which I really like safety features or it'd be grown-up you've got the brakes here the wheels are very easy to pop off and pop on you've got if you're running your safety lock here in the front if you're going to be walking you'll compute and turn it's very easy for a bit more stability with these tires you lock this wheel and so that will keep your child from going all over the place so I'll show you the difference okay my son is on his balance bike if you want to learn about a balanced bike I have that review online as well okay so I've got my brakes undo my brakes here and I'm looking through my phone screen so I apologize so right now if I'm jogging this is the only thing that takes a little bit of getting used to you ready I'm still jogging so I'm still in jogging mode so if I want to turn my wheel so now I can go quickly you'll see with all of my equipment here as I'm running how stable everything is I don't feel like everything is shaking and it's gonna fall off and it's just it feels very rickety it's also very a smooth ride it's not a very heavy but notice if I'm going to start turning here what you have to maneuver is my sidewalk here at the park is starting to turn so cause I'm jogging now I'll show you from the back I'm gonna have to pull down and do a wheelie type situation to turn the wheel okay if I want to go into walking mode I'm heading over here pop it down now that wheel is unlocked and now you can see how smoothly Dina Dina Dina Dina you can see how smoothly I can walk now now if I try to run try to run just a little bit so everything shaking so you definitely want to make sure that you do that the only complaint that I have and it's not about the quality of the stroller it's just of what the concept is if you're going to be running or jogging with this stroller you've got to make sure that you understand how that whole turning thing works so do take a second and practice that because again you've got to lift up that front wheel to turn if you're in jogging mode because you do need to have that wheel locked a couple of other things obviously this stroller is only for one child there is no option for that another child to stay in the back or to sit in there and the child can only be front facing so you couldn't have a baby laying in you know facing you so that you could look in and see their face so I do feel like you know my daughter is she's two and a half and she's twenty-one pounds she is very small for her age but you can say that even now so maybe the waist straps it has a strap that comes up between the legs and it has the shoulder strap so it is five points and I will put pictures in my review in my article on real simple momma calm but you probably just want to be really careful if you're going running with a very young child or young baby just to make sure that you feel that the straps are adjusted and they are in there very stable Oh Big Brother's bringing flowers we've trained in what we call the moms flowers and all the little girls flowers so this is our review of the Baby Trend jogging stroller just a quick really windy review out here we are gonna go for a family walk I hope it's been helpful leave comments questions I can help you out as much as possible and again find the full review on real simple mama calm thanks for watching guys say bye
The Baby Trend Expedition Jogger Travel System
hey everyone okay so this is going to be my review of the Baby Trend expedition LX stroller and the infant LOC car seat I got mine online at Walmart I'm not sure where else you can get this particular um color scheme this one is charcoal gray with orange piping and I believe it's called vanguards Anza but if you go to Baby Trend com they usually have a button that says where to buy and and it will list everywhere you can get it anyways uh let's see the reasons I chose this stroller number one I really wanted a jogging stroller and one that has the bicycle tires um I tried some strollers out that had the like hard plastic wheels and I could just feel every little bunk as I was rolling it I didn't like that whereas with the bicycle tires the rubber tires I didn't feel anything so it's a much smoother ride in my opinion so that's why I like this one on the front wheel if you're just walking you know around the zoo and wall the front wheel does um swivel around however if you're going jogging there's a simple little red latch here just lift it up and it locks the wheel so it cannot turn so it's better for running but um yeah you just just snap it back down again and the wheel turns a to things that were very important to me well one thing is that I really wanted my stroller to have two parent cupholders um I've seen some strollers where they only have one and I always thought okay but if you're out with your husband where does he put his cup and I just didn't want Neal to not have a cup holder so it was very important to me when choosing a stroller that I had to parent cup holders some actually a lot of Baby Trend jogging strollers come with an mp3 player in the parent tray so if that's something you're interested in a lot of them do come with it however this particular one Vanguard does not it just comes with an empty parents ring which was fine for me cuz I actually didn't want the mp3 wires and here it I it's just not something I would use so I was much more happy with just the empty parents right um the handles have a rubber grip which is another thing I really wanted some stroller some of the baby trench strollers have like a foam padding and that one's nice too but I just noticed on some of the strollers in the store I guess because they've been played with a lot that it is left like little black specks on my hand I guess because from so many people using it it was starting to flake off and so I decided I didn't like that however this one has the rubber grip and I did like that see car seat if you get the one that goes along with this makes it a travel system the car seat stroller do not come together on this model some Baby Trend um travel systems they come together but this one you have to buy separate it does come with the little foot cover thingy right here it's not something that we're going to need to use because our little one is due in March and it's pretty warm here around that time so he's not going to get to use this but if this was something that you were interested in it does come with this another thing I liked about the car seat was the handle in this triangle shape so I like that you were able to grab it at whatever angle you're coming in at it from that would be most comfortable for you um one negative which we haven't experienced yet because we haven't used it yet um but I heard that some um dads with really huge hands I found this to be uncomfortable it seems like it's a lot of room to me but uh yeah I heard some guys with big burly hands found this to be a little bit uncomfortable um the little triangle opening so you might want to have your husband try it out in the store Neil didn't have any trouble with it it was much more snug on him than it is for me but he it wasn't irritating his hand or anything so you definitely want to try that out first before you buy it uh the car seat snaps into these two cupholders and there's a release button towards the foot of the car seat which lets it go um I guess one con is really a con it's just more of a preference thing but on the Chico Cortina stroller it has a latch right here would you squeeze and lift or let go to have this go up and down I really like that feature but this one has the more traditional way to lift it up which is the drawstring so you just pull the drawstring there's two squeezy buttons here so you squeeze them any lip and that is how you have your seat in the upright position to lower it back down you would squeeze the two sides and pull this back down which releases the seat and it does need to be down in the flat position to put the car seat on a lot of baby trans strollers have a really huge basket underneath this particular one has an average-sized basket in my opinion I was really excited about the really big basket because all the Baby Trend joggers I've seen have humongous basket but I was a little disappointed when it arrived and it had um a regular sized bath excuse me a regular-sized basket but that's just one thing heads up about this Vanguard one head back another thing that some baby trans strollers have which this one doesn't so another con is some of them have a brake release here just like on a bicycle and I really wanted that feature again this one does not have it mostly I wanted it because our zoo has with these huge Hills and I just always thought those going downhill and be really really nice to have that brake to help me go down the hill um but this one doesn't have it unfortunately and that was one thing I really wanted it does come with the wrist band thing you attach this to your wrist when you're jogging so that if for some reason you were to trip and fall your stroller would not continue on without you it would stop the stroller the brakes are down here I don't know if you can see them the brakes are down here these two little red things and they just snap down to lock them and snap back up to fold up the stroller you just there's one on each side you squeeze them up and it folds down pretty flat so it fits in our car we actually don't really have any problem with it because we have truck but uh if you have regular car I would think it would still fit it also a pretty flat but anyways that is my review of the Baby Trend expedition LX having not used it yet if you have any questions um just leave them in a comment below and I'll get back to you or I really really love my stroller it's so smooth to push and I like it so ok right oh one other thing I forgot to mention um that this stroller does not have which I guess would be another con but not that big a deal some of Baby Trend strollers have a adjustable handle this one does not this handle is locked into this position so if I'm actually pretty short Neil's pretty tall um luckily this height seems to be great for us but I know some strollers have an adjustable handle so if that was something that you're interested in this particular model doesn't have it but there are other baby trans dollars that do have a handle that can go higher if you are colorburst in it
Baby Trend Expedition Jogger Review
hi friends here is my review on the brake not the great ko I just returned the Graco jogger and I'll tell you um I guess my contrast and comparison between the Graco dagger and this which is the Baby Trend expedition grey mist jogger so here's my fun playing want to say hi honey hi and um yes I have gone through a few strollers recently and this one I have been super pleased with and let me explain why I guess first off when you take it out of the box the assembly is super easy not the vet stopped me with the other ones but all you had to do was put on the back wheels you didn't even have to assemble like the bar in the back sometimes you have to do a bar a few washers and then put the wheels on this you just snapped on those back wheels very simple and snapped on the front tray and yeah I mean the front wheel was already on it was in the closed position and all you do is pop on those wheels and the tray and oh yes this part too for the cupholders so anyways let me show you it's a pretty good sized basket um the bottom in there I have my son's little hat and sunglasses for when we go walking or running one bag of chex mix that he had this morning let me show you this one here I really enjoy this boggle water bottle from Old Navy and it filters the water as you go through this is the largest size and I love it cuz you can just get the water from well within reason anywhere and yeah it just saves on having bottled water I'd use that when I'm out a lot so back to the stroller I like the height of the handle I am I'm only 5 1 so some of the other strollers this one doesn't adjust in height which would be a nice option but this one just doesn't but the height works for me so if they have a model out obviously try the model and see if the height works for you let's see what else this one it goes for around $100 I got it from Target and in the future I would recommend not getting strollers from Target just because their return policy can be pretty tricky especially if you want to exchange it for something else it has to be in that department their selection isn't that great they gave me a hard time I spend so much time a customer service okay back to the stroller what I really like about this is the frame was really sturdy and I even liked it better than the Graco jogger it's a little bit lighter than the Graco jogger as well one of the things I struggled with with the Graco was that the tray on the front it works a little differently but what you what I had problem list was when I opened it from the side that opens on on the Graco this part here was always popping out and my son would say mommy and I look and you know I'd be running or walking and this part was always open so the way that this works is this side stays closed and it's kind of like a swivel I'll show you how to open it so you just push this in and it slides up it's actually a pretty simple thing to do I could do it one-handed you know moms need to be able to do things one-handed and that was great also the harness in here is pretty nice it's adjustable and also all you have to do for this part here is squeeze and it pops up and let's see the the cartridge on the cover is pretty good and yeah overall I'm really enjoying this so anyways I hope that helps a little if you have another one that you know maybe you had better luck with the Graco one I just didn't happen to so I also tried the Graco sit and stand and it was just too bulky and didn't work for me but anyway thanks so much for joining me and um let me know what your favorites are okay bye you
